LIFEGROUPS
In keeping with our mission statement, we aim to connect people to Jesus Christ and one another. One of the ways we seek to accomplish this goal is through an important ministry at our church we call Life Groups.
Life Groups are pockets of community within our faith family that are Bible-centered and community-driven. We believe that as these groups of believers walk through life, and study God’s word together, they will experience a prime environment for the Lord to work.
We would love it if you joined a Life Group today!
DOWNTOWN IN-HOME LIFEGROUPS
BILL & PAULA KISZLA AND TIM & KIM MARTIN
THURSDAY EVENINGS 6-8pm (EVERY OTHER WEEK)
This is a group that’s been together for some time, and they love one another well. Whether you are new to the church or you’ve been at DTC for a while, they welcome all to come and be a part of their group. This group is chiefly made up of those whose kids are now grown. Some are retired, some are not. Regardless of your work status, you are welcome to come and “do life” with these dear brothers and sisters. This group aims at studying books of the Bible together. The meeting location for this group is the Martin’s home.
CASON & JADYN MARTIN AND ANDY & LISA SHIRLEY
SUNDAY EVENINGS 5-7pm (EVERY WEEK)
All young adults and families are invited to join us on Sunday evenings for a time of fellowship and the study of God’s Word. The group is comprised of a variety of ages and stages of life including singles, married, and married with young children. Their aim is to study God’s Word (currently studying books of the Bible) and to walk through the highs and lows of life in community with one another. There is a rotation of adults who volunteer to watch the children after dinner so the adults can participate in the study together. This group alternates between the Martin’s house and the Shirley’s.
COLE & TIFFANY JOHNSON AND NOAH & OLIVIA WALTERS
SUNDAY AFTERNOONS 3-5pm (EVERY WEEK)
If you are “newly married” or “soon to be married”, this Life Group is for you! This is a great opportunity to start your marriages out right as you center your focus on Christ together while intentionally walking in community with other Christian couples. They have strategically chosen to meet on Sunday afternoons at 3pm so as to allow them time to prepare for the coming work/school week on Sunday evenings. The meeting location for this group is at the Johnson’s home. There are volunteers who assist with childcare at these group gatherings.
DAVID & ALLISON CAGLE AND ANDREW & MELISSA FLOWERS
SUNDAY EVENINGS 5-7pm (EVERY OTHER WEEK)
This is a multi-generational group of Christ-followers focused on the study of God’s Word and community with God’s people. Most of the children of the families of this group are elementary age through high school. In addition to being multi-generational, this group also draws from all over the Mobile area. As such, meeting locations will alternate between the Flowers’ home and our downtown location at The Steeple.
COLLEGE & YOUNG ADULT LIFE GROUP| MATTHEW & CINDY TAYLOR AND DAVID CAGLE
SUNDAY EVENINGS 5-7pm (EVERY OTHER WEEK)
We have a growing population of college students and young adults in our faith family. For those in this exciting (and at times, trying) phase of life, we offer this group for you to come and be a part of. We meet in the home of Matthew and Cindy Taylor in the Springhill area, which is centrally located to accommodate those from all over the Mobile area. After sharing a meal and time of fellowship together, studies are led by Pastor David Cagle. We would love to walk through life with you during this season of life!
DOWNTOWN ON-CAMPUS LIFEGROUPS
GREG & SHERI KELSOE
SUNDAY MORNINGS (EVERY OTHER WEEK)
For those interested in experiencing a Life Group that’s on-campus following our Sunday service, this is a great option for you. Group participants mostly have children who are grown now, but this group is open to all adults. The teaching style is what’s known as expository teaching (where you slowly work through books of the Bible together). This group meets downstairs in the South Lounge of The Steeple following our Sunday service.
